Epistemology

Epistemology is the fancy name for theory of knowledge.
Plato's ideas about knowledge are tied to his theory of forms, and most notably explained through his analogies of the divided line and his famous allegory of the cave.

One of the most famous allegories of western culture. It can be read for themes about knowledge, the conflict between the individual and society, and his most famous illustration of his theory of forms.
